SQUIRREL-3435

SQUIRREL-3435, originally uploaded by eeeksnyc.

Yoshi spotted his enemy outside in the backyard....hopped up on the couch to watch his nefarious schemes...

Well, actually....I got bored. It was a rainy weekend and the pups were getting antsy. Popped open the window so at least they could look out on the rain.

Yoshi was a bit more curious than his sister...so he hopped up on the couch and took a look

These costumed "characters" have been getting a lot of flak of late with drunken tirades, fights, groping, and other distinctly NOT child friendly acts...Caught this Elmo creepin this lady for about a half a block....

One Year Old

Momo,  our rambunctious morkie is one year old now. She was deathly ill when she came to us last August,  bur she's bounced back nicely since.

Happy Birthday Momoko

Cancer Survivor

Duke is almost at a year living with cancer. He was diagnosed last June.

We had a few scary moments when we thought we were going to lose him...but he's pulled through those dark times, stronger than ever.

Love this guy

ranked 5th out of 6...soon to be 6th out of 7

It seems that I've slid down in the pecking order.

V and the puppies now outrank me. And with a new pup on the way...I'll be even further down.

awesome....just how I wanted middle age to hit...

That which you manifest is before you

It should come as no big surprise to anyone that I'm angry. I'm hurt, broken, depressed, lonely and angry.

There's very little these days that truly makes me smile, and I mean smile...not the fake pleasantries, over exuberant fakery we put on everyday...but a true, warm-your-insides kind of smile.

I picked up this book by Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain after reading some reviews. I've loved cars since I was born...always wanting to race. I do love my Duke, as those of you who have checked out either my Facebook, or this blog, or even my desk, know. So I figured this would be a good book. You know, a cute book about life written from a dog's perspective....and his owner is a race car driver...what's not to love?

I was wrong, this is not a good book....It's a GREAT book. It actually made me laugh out loud, and cry...Sometimes at the same time. It was my guilty little pleasure...being able to FEEL something.

Maybe I'm lauding it with accolades it doesn't deserve, or that might be over the top, but fuck it...this was a damn good book....so get it...pay for it...buy it...download it...
